I have called the Kimberley home for more than 20 years, living with my husband and our four children. We first settled in Kununurra in the East Kimberley before making our home in Derby, where we continue to live in the heart of the community.

Born and raised on a farm on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, I have always felt most at home in the natural world. Living in the far north-west of Australia has given me the opportunity to immerse myself in the extraordinary beauty of the Kimberley—its wildlife, endless blue skies, dramatic wet season storms, and vast open landscapes. Like so many people, I am especially drawn to the boab trees, each one unique and full of character.

Our family's work in community support has allowed me to build meaningful relationships with many strong and inspiring Aboriginal women and families, some of whom are reflected in my paintings.

I am fascinated by the way people connect with a place and with each other. My work celebrates everyday moments, quiet interactions, and the simple joys of life in the Kimberley. I paint what I observe, hoping to capture the sense of peace, humour, and contentment that can be found outdoors—especially around the water and the timeless ritual of fishing. While I rarely fish myself, I love witnessing the happiness and relaxation it brings to others.

Through my paintings, I hope viewers will pause, look closely, and reconnect with the joy and serenity of this remarkable part of the world, recalling their own memories of time spent in nature and the simple pleasures that make life meaningful.
